Road to No Where



Syracusa Sicily, Italy June 2005. The ruts in the rock were created thousands of years ago by the greeks who quarried the rocks in this area. It's such an awesome feeling standing in a place and knowing that it's been this way for 2000 years.

That's amazing. The history that surrounds you is just unbelievable.

It also makes you wonder why they put a gate there. A good example of how they take that stuff for granted. Of coarse if they preserved everything that old they would have no where to build or live.
